Maverick Motel - Raton

The location of Maverick Motel was easy to find right off the main road. I stayed in a Double Room with Private Bathroom for one night. The shower worked great and surprised me with its high water pressure. I appreciated the cozy atmosphere of the room and how well it felt for an older motel. The heating system was outdated and couldn't be adjusted, leading to discomfort during the colder night. The drapery in my room was slightly off the rod. I enjoyed the stay but improvements on the heating and some maintenance on the room's decor would enhance the experience.

Came in Raton for christmas, the hotel met expectation. Central heating, multi-channel TV, and a microwave oven in my a double room were useful during the stay for an early departure road trip. Overall it was incredibly comfortable, with a private bathroom. The staff team was really helpful at any time.

Management needs to install updated heating systems!!! A lot of maintenance is required, water leakage from ducts, missing light bulbs, and dirty bathroom fixtures!!!

When we visit Raton, like staying here. The staff are very friendly and really care about the guests.

Request a room away from the main street for a quieter experience, especially if you're sensitive to noise.

I loved how easy it was to access local attractions like Climax Canyon Park, just around a 25-minute walk away and offers fine views for a leisurely stroll. I also appreciated the well-kept atmosphere in my room.

The heat in the room couldn't be adjusted. Upon entering, leftover food mess from previous guests was noticeable. The beds were particularly hard, and the absence of exterior safety lights added to an unsettling atmosphere outside. There were old junk cars scattered in the parking lot, which detracted from any visual appeal.

the shower pressure was low, but the clean linens were a highlight. enjoyed the cozy heated pool and complimentary coffee in the lobby! definitely a decent stay.
